Our partner company is seeking an Applications Specialist - SEM based in Peabody, MA. This role focuses on providing applications support to the Sales and Marketing teams by demonstrating SEM products to both existing and potential customers. Key activities include running samples, demonstrating products, and contributing to the development and delivery of training courses.
Responsibilities
Run samples and demonstrate the full capabilities of SEM products in the applications lab, at customer sites, and at scientific conferences.
Provide detailed reports from sample data acquired during demonstrations or from customer samples to promote SEM products.
Develop expertise in specimen preparation techniques, including ion milling-based methods, to evaluate challenging biological and semiconductor samples.
Provide technical support to customers, sales, and marketing teams, both pre- and post-sale.
Assist Product Managers with evaluating new products, software, or accessories.
Maintain technical data related to SEM instruments and competitor instrumentation.
Participate in the development and delivery of training sessions for SEM customers.
Develop expertise and applications to support EBIC, EDS, and lithography as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a physical or life science discipline or a related area.
A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and experience in scanning electron microscopy (SEM) are required.
Experience with sample preparation and FIB products is a plus.
Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
Willingness to travel up to 30%.
