Responsibilities:

Assist with the docketing of deadlines for the patents and trademarks held by the Firm’s clients

Assist attorneys in all states of copyright law, including applications and registrations

Conduct statutory, case law and fact research under the supervision of a lawyer for the Firm

Search U.S. Patent Trademark Office (USPTO) and other intellectual property databases, review dockets, and resolve data discrepancies

Proofread prepared documents; draft and/or review legal documents (including preparing office action responses), correspondence, and other factual memoranda under the supervision of a lawyer for the Firm

Conduct file searches and assist with document review and various other tasks related to producing electronic and hard copy documents

Review and organize documents to be filed with state or federal courts as well as government or administrative agencies; conduct filings

Requirements

2+years of direct patent and trademark paralegal experience

Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies; Bachelor’s degree preferred

2+ years of law firm experience
