Keywords is searching for a candidate to join the Future Customer Experience (FCE) team of an exciting consumer electronics company located in Fort Collins, CO as a Hardware Test Engineer.
Pay rate: 23.00 an hour
Hardware Test Engineer Tasks
Test case development: You'll be responsible for supporting developing test cases for various FCE R&D products and proof of concepts. Test Cases will be documented using the appropriate tools (e.g., Word, Jira, TestRails).
Test Case Execution: You'll be responsible for executing Test Case, documenting findings and results, and reporting through established tools and processes.
-You'll need to collaborate with engineers and researchers to help develop and execute subsystem and system test. They will need to be able to communicate effectively with team members and provide feedback on subsystem and system performance.
Documenting lab activities: You should be able to accurately document lab activities, including test results, maintenance records, and safety procedures. They should have strong writing skills and attention to detail.
Maintaining lab cleanliness: You'll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized lab environment. This includes cleaning equipment and workspaces and organizing tools and materials.
Maintaining lab equipment: You'll be be responsible for maintaining lab equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and software components. They should have knowledge of maintenance procedures and be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
Operating lab equipment: You should be able to safely and effectively operate lab equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and software components. They should have knowledge of equipment operation procedures and safety protocols.
Lifting and moving equipment: You may be required to lift and move heavy equipment, such as robotic arms or test fixtures. They should be able to safely lift and move equipment without risking injury to themselves or others.
Ensuring safety and compliance: You'll be responsible for ensuring that all lab activities are conducted safely and in compliance with regulations and best practices. They will need to be familiar with safety procedures and protocols for working with mechanical, electrical, and software components.
Requirements
Experience in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word etc..)
Experience with optics, sensors, robotics
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across multiple platforms
Professional and clear written and verbal communication.
Light coding experience (C++, Python, etc..)
Strongly familiar with test tools experience (e.g., Word, Jira, TestRails)
Advanced mathematical skills for calculation of design equations
Excellent communication skills to explain technical specifics to peers and customers
Writing skills for preparing manuals, Test procedures, lists, proposals and design documentation
Focus and concentration to understand complex testing scenarios
Self-motivation to keep up with current Software, testing and electrical advances using new technologies
Using industry-specific tools to analyze and test electronics (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, loads)
Time-management skills for meeting deadlines
