What you’ll do as a Telecom Drill Bores Equipment Operator
Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine construction path
Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
Perform work in all weather conditions
Dig pits, trenches or potholes as directed by job plan
Drive company vehicles with equipment to and from jobsites as neccessary and permitted
Safely operate and control heavy machinery including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
Utilize “Mud” mixing systems when drilling/boring
Determine bore path and locate utilities
Develop and maintain a bore schedule
Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement required, or willingness to obtain it
Experience with the capabilities and limitations of telecom construction equipment, including drilling equipment and drill setup and design processes
Must be able to pass preemployment drug and alcohol tests, DOT medical certificate physical test, and background check
Physical abilities & exposures
Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
