Job Description and Responsibilities:

Willow Valley is hiring a Chief Financial Officer to be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. The CFO must be well versed in all aspects of financial management. The CFO will ensure that the appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the company’s overall financial health. The CFO will be highly ethical with a high level of integrity.

Responsibilities:

Directs all preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for WVC, WVCCF, CAH, tax returns and governmental agency reports.

Compares sales and cash surplus projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses; makes necessary adjustments to future projects and budgets.

Leads and develops the annual budget for WVC, WVCCF, and CAH.

Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on the future financial success of the organization.

Oversees banking activities and investment banking. Engages with investment bankers to obtain additional capital for required expansion projects.

Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations.

Provides supervision to the finance department.

Manages vendor, resident and member relationships, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Assists in monitoring and overseeing the company’s insurance programs.

Is responsible to ensure compliance with PA Department of Insurance requirements.

Serves as primary liaison with the independent auditors to ensure the annual and tax returns are completed in a timely and smooth manner.

Presents quarterly financial updates to Residents and Members as assigned.

Participates in annual bond rating review discussions.

Reports on financial results and issues to the President and Board of Directors.

Monitors changes in legal, regulatory, and administrative environments and implement changes in procedures needed to maintain compliance while maximizing financial results.

Responds to Resident and Member questions and concerns about the organizations finances.

Provides leadership and oversight to Team Members of the Finance department, Supportive Living Business office and Residential Living Business office.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizations policies and applicable laws.

Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training Team Members who report to this position.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university, with a master's degree preferred.

Certified Public Accountant designation a plus.

Ten years of experience of senior management in financial management required.

Experience with a non-profit organization preferred.

Proficiency and knowledge with technology and computer systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Payroll and Accounting software.

Hours:

40 hrs/week
