Job Description:
As a Production Scheduling supervisor, the person in this position will optimize day-to-day scheduling activities while minimizing costs.
Monitor materials inventories.
Track production progress.
Review factors that affect production schedules.
Partners with the supply chain team to ensure order starts on time
Optimizes production schedules to increase production efficiency
Identifies and troubleshoots production issues
Communicates with other manufacturing departments
Ensure the team is trained in the latest best practices
Supervises the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives.
Coordinates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules.
Monitors daily production results and develops revised scheduling in response to changes in flow of material, designs, equipment or other resources
Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, and others database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience.
Requires strong knowledge of production processes. Expert in developing and reviewing production schedules. Able to provide work leadership. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
