Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Creates 3D models of parts and prototypes using Solidworks software.

Generates 2D prints using AutoCAD for part prints and tool designs.

Feasibility assessment of specifications, new part designs and tooling.

Completing cost estimate worksheets (CEW’s) and engineering change notifications (ECN’s).

Assist with developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment conferring with equipment vendors as needed.

Conducts research to determine equipment and parts availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and cost of specified projects.

Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods as needed; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing process.

Identifies causes of process instability and recommends solutions.

Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary.

Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified.

Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.

Qualifications:

Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:

BS degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

CAD software: AutoCAD and SolidWorks

Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing

 Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes, including common engineering concepts, practices and procedures

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of production employees

Ability to operate ERP and MRP system effectively

Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work under minimal supervision

Advanced PC, Excel and Analytical skills

Knowledge of advanced production quality planning, design skills and design of experiments

Data collection / SPC

Must have a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills
