Job Vacancy: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (KS2 - Autism & Behavioural Needs)
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 2 with Autism and behavioural needs at our inclusive and welcoming primary school.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualised support for a child with Autism and behavioural challenges in KS2.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored learning strategies.
Assist in managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation.
Promote social and academic development through structured activities and positive reinforcement.
Foster a calm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Criteria:
Experience working with children with Autism and/or behavioural needs is highly desirable.
Patience, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging situations.
A flexible and proactive attitude, with a commitment to supporting the child's well-being and progress.
Willingness to work closely within a team and follow the school's ethos of inclusion and care.
Contract Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time, term-time only
