Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Northampton

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000

An opportunity has opened for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a building services company based near Northampton. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within Mechanical Design and come from a building services, drainage or HVAC background.

The company are growing currently and offer a variety of benefits including 25 days holidays + bank holidays.

What they’re looking for:

* Experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer within Building Services, drainage, roofing, HVAC or similar

* Strong Solidworks CAD experience

* AutoCAD would be a bonus

* Excellent understanding of construction methods

* An understanding of local and national design standards

* Product inspection and testing experience

* 3D Printing experience would be a bonus

* Excellent documentation writing and analysis

* UK Driving License

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

* Mechanical design and development of drainage products

* Using Solidworks primarily but also AutoCAD for some work

* 3D printing and modelling

* Providing inspection and tests on current and new products

* Creating plans and writing up design plans for products

* Keeping to H&S and COSHH standards
