Are you committed to helping young individuals with learning difficulties and disabilities realise their full potential? We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team as Learning Support Mentors, focusing on empowering students within the Construction Department.

Vacancies Available:

1 Full-time position (37 hours per week)
1 Part-time position (22.5 hours per week) Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Mentor, you will collaborate with lecturing staff and assessors to facilitate student success. Your primary role will be to ensure that learners with additional needs can effectively access the curriculum, fostering independence and achieving personalised educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide collaborative support across learning environments, aiding with materials, note-taking, and the use of enabling technologies.
Support personalised learning outcomes for students, particularly those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP).
Adapt and modify learning resources to cater to individual needs.
Promote and encourage independence among students.
Provide holistic support including during breaks, trips, and off-campus activities.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, target setting, and student progress. What you need:

Experience supporting young people with learning difficulties or disabilities in an educational setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to inclusion.
Proficiency in adapting educational materials and providing tailored support.
GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above in English and Maths.
A proactive team player dedicated to continuous improvement. Benefits:
