Junior Procurement Specialist required for a contract role, working for a global engineering and construction company based in Swindon.
This is an initial 6 month contract role, but may be made permanent for the right candidate.
This entry level role will involve supporting the facilities management team, mainly raising Purchase Orders and issuing enquiries for quotations. Applicants should ideally have 1 year's experience in buying and purchasing.
Job Specification:
•Support of all Supply Chain responsibilities for projects
•Take responsibility for facilities management spend management across the site
•Proactively promotes EMEA Supply Chain processes, policies and procedures and actively shares this information with those from the above projects with which they interact.
•Stakeholder management; proven excellent internal and external stakeholder management.
•Supply chain support of the above projects including the following where appropriate:
•Category Management
•Contract Management
•Supply Chain Operations
•Maintenance of filing systems and databases according to GS EMEA document storage
•Carry out procurement activities, in-line with company processes, through enquiry to award stages for both products and services.
•Use of Microsoft Outlook for email and diary management to support Supply Chain and project teams.
Experience & Qualifications required:
5 GCSE's grades 4-9, including Maths & English
CIPS is desirable
A procurement qualification, either gained or working towards would be advantageous.
Experience working with a Procurement/Supply Chain environment is desirable.
Excellent negotiating, verbal, and written communication skills.
Job Details:
Start date: ASAP
Contract duration: Initial 6 months contract, may move to a permanent role for the right candidate.
Rate: c.£13 p/h PAYE
Location: Swindon. Initially 5 days per week office based, possibility of moving to 3 days office/2 days remote after probation period.
37 hrs per week.
