EJ810: Site Operative

Location: Staines-Upon-Thames

Salary: Circa £30k + Overtime

Overtime: £17.92 per hour Mon – fri 4pm-6pm and some Saturdays 6am-12pm

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Yard Operative on behalf of one of our clients.

Working for an industry leader in steel works, within the construction business, this role is ideal for someone with production / manufacturing experience.

Hours of work are 0600 – 1600 Monday to Friday.

Overtime during the week may also be expected from (Apply online only) and some Saturday shifts (Apply online only).

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To operate various equipment / machinery, efficiently and safely producing steel reinforcing to customer’s specifications and industry standards.
Equipment and machinery to include:

Cutting machines.
Link bending machines.
Manual bending machines.
Overhead gantry crane and forklift operation.
Full adherence to health and safety procedures and to site rules.
Skills and Qualifications:

You’ll be a self-motivated individual who has experience working in a production / manufacturing environment.
Keen to learn and progress in the business.
Working effectively within a team, you’ll have the knowledge to follow processes, instructions and commit to assigned tasks.
