As a Shovel Driver your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Follow all site safety rules (reporting procedures, PPE, smoking policy, emergency procedures)
• The safe operation of mobile plant, processing and movement of materials
• Feeding lines and hoppers with material for process
• Cleaning work areas, ensuring housekeeping of working area is maintained to good standard
• Carrying out daily checks in accordance with company procedures and site working plan
• Co-operate with site management, keeping them informed of any issues or concerns
• Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures as required
• Working to timescales and deadlines, being aware of your own limitations
• Ensure lock off procedure are followed correctly
• Attend training as and when required
• Follow maintenance schedule for machine and maintain a high standard of the
machine both inside and outside
• Be aware of environmental factors and act accordingly - weather conditions, wind, noise, dust and litter
