We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Hygiene Operator to join our clients team at their Lodgefarm site in Northampton. This role is crucial in maintaining the high food safety and hygiene standards required in our facility. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, ensuring that the site is clean, safe, and compliant with all relevant regulations.

Role Responsibilities:
This section outlines the key responsibilities of the role holder and the specific outcomes expected from each responsibility.
Organisational Responsibilities:
ESG (Environment, Social & Governance / Corporate Responsibility):

* Ensure your own health, safety, and well-being, as well as that of your colleagues, at all times.

* Strictly adhere to all competition compliance, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), and related compliance policies.

* Exemplify safe working practices and behaviours consistently.

* Contribute actively to the company’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) vision.

Role-Specific Responsibilities:(Allocation and Reporting)
This role requires the consistent demonstration and delivery of the following competencies:

* Implement and manage effective cleaning schedules.

* Support in monthly internal GMP audits and contribute to achieving site accreditations.

* Perform cleaning operations according to established hygiene schedules.

* Report to the Team Leader at the start of each shift for any special cleaning instructions.

* Maintain accurate hygiene records.

* Keep hygiene equipment in good working order and report any damage or issues promptly.

* Participate in necessary training as required.

* Communicate effectively with all departments across the site.

* Coordinate with the pest control contractor.

* Address and rectify defects identified during site inspections.

* Execute the scheduled spraying regime.

* Perform internal pest control activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.

Education & Qualifications:

* Manual Handling: Desirable

* Food Safety Qualification: Desirable

* Counterbalance Licence: Desirable

Experience:

* Essential: Experience in maintaining a clean operating environment within a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.

* Essential: Proven ability to work towards targets.

* Desirable: Familiarity with ISO 9001/BRC standards, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene, HACCP, COSHH, pest control, and relevant food legislation.

* Essential: Strong customer focus.

* Essential: Excellent interpersonal skills
