About the role:

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (EAL), you will play a crucial role in supporting students with language barriers, helping them to improve their English skills and fully engage in their learning. You will work closely with the class teacher, leading small group interventions, boosting literacy and numeracy, and offering 1:1 support to children who need extra help. You’ll also be responsible for creating tailored learning activities to help students with EAL develop confidence in the classroom. This part-time role is ideal for someone looking to make a big impact on young learners in a friendly, supportive environment. You will be part of a committed team dedicated to making learning fun, inclusive, and accessible for all.

• Experience working with children in a classroom setting, particularly those with EAL.

• Ability to work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Key Stage 1 pupils with EAL, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities.

• Lead small group interventions focused on literacy, numeracy, and language development.

• Provide 1:1 assistance to pupils needing extra help.

• Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of individual students.

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
