Mechanical Quality Inspector

Our client is looking for an experienced, dynamic and qualified ‘In-process’ Inspector to take control of all aspects of quality control from material supply through thorough checking off in-process inspection, to final delivery along with a disciplined and ‘hands on’ approach to dimensional inspection. This is an exciting opportunity with a lot of opportunities for growth and further training!

Roles and Responsibilities:

* In-Process inspection (During Manufacture), validating ‘First-Of’ measures

* Use of Programmable and Manual CMM inspection

* Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001

* Overseeing goods in/out inspection

* Raising and investigating NCRs with implementation of corrective/preventive measures

* Document all inspection results, presenting KPI statistics for monthly review

* Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production and inspection

* Liaising with customers and suppliers

Ideal Candidate Will:

* Ideally you will have a mechanical background

* Be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection

* You will be fully familiar with and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment

* Be able to interpret engineering drawings

* Have experience using a wide range of measurement equipment and programmable CMM

* You will have good communication skills both internally and to outside ‘agencies’ by telephone/email etc.

* Be continuous improvement focused, supporting production improvement initiatives

Working Hours + Benefits:

* 37 hour weeks

* Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 Friday 08:00 – 13:00

* Opportunity for overtime, weekend, and shift work (paid at a premium)

* 28 Days Holiday (Inc Bank Holidays)
