We provide administrative and organizational services to simplify the processes of lead-generation, marketing, billing and collecting payments from patients and insurers. Our teams currently support over 1,500 independent mental health providers, who serve over 20,000 clients per week across 15 locations in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington as well as virtually via Telehealth.

About the Role 

The Business Intelligence Manager will oversee and develop the Business Intelligence department, driving the maintenance and improvement of our data structures and existing projects. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing data strategies and ensuring the effective use of data to support business objectives; this involves developing a keen understanding of how the business functions & measures success, and then going to work to deliver the right information. The role will collaborate closely with senior leaders, and manage a business intelligence team. This entails applying advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; determining approach, resources, schedules, and goals to meet stakeholder objectives; and supporting professional growth & development of team members. This role requires a combination of leadership ability, business acumen, technical skill, and eagerness to make an impactful contribution by supporting business managers across the company with accurate & easily accessible data analytics.  

Responsibilities:  

Lead a team of engineers who will design and develop data models, create data visualizations, describe the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business insights into actionable plans. 

Lead the Business Intelligence Team in allocating resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives.  

Collaborate cross-department and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintain frequent contact with other managers across the department to stay apprised of business needs & pain-points with business intelligence tools. 

Partner with the Director of Operations in developing the strategic needs & development of the Business Intelligence Department. 

Develop and implement BI strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.  

Manage a team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in their daily activities, as well as professional development through regular feedback and goal setting. 

Collaborate with business managers across the company to develop and maintain a keen understanding of how the business functions & measure success. 

Engage with senior leaders to understand their informational needs and proactively suggest data-driven solutions to address business challenges. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective datasets that drive strategic decision-making. 

Monitor and fine-tune business intelligence tools to ensure optimal performance. 

Evaluate effectiveness of existing data structures and pipelines, and make recommendations on improvements, staying abreast of the latest developments in BI tools, techniques, and practices. 

Provide insight and recommendations on best practices for data structure and warehousing, for both new and existing data streams. 

Obtain project requirements from key stakeholders and collaborate with the Business Intelligence Engineer to outline and procure necessary data sets for the requested reports. 

Maintain compliance to relevant laws and regulations regarding data privacy, particularly those pertaining to mental health information. 

Develop strong business relationships with both internal and external personnel.   

Requirements

Qualifications  

Proven leadership skills: the ability to develop team members and grow their skills, hold them accountable to goals and deadlines, and lead by example. 

Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science. 

Experience working closely with senior leaders and understanding their information needs. 

Proficiency with UX design, and proven experience in creating impactful data visualizations and reports. 

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to succinctly convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.  

Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g. HIPAA).  

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

Advanced skills in PowerBI, SQL, and Excel. 

Strong attention to detail. 

Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.  

Experience as part of a fast-growing company is strongly preferred.
