Job Description
Pay Range: $96,800-$121,000
Purpose of Position
Provide overall direction and supervision of the production department. Responsible for the development of all supervisors through training programs and to ensure that the plant has a trained and proficient workforce that accomplishes meeting department goals on quality, yield, productivity, cost and safety.
Essential Functions
Responsible for processing/production department(s) and for meeting department and company goals and standards on quality, yield, productivity, cost and safety. Effectively lead and facilitate plant daily meeting through the established Review and Response process.
Responsible for development and training of supervisors, lead persons and TEAM members, working within the guidelines of the union contract and company policies.
Participate at department meetings in the production planning process and collaborate to develop new techniques/processes, as well as measure and assess effectiveness of implementation
Responsible for quick and timely feedback to manager on all exceptions in regard to productivity, downtime, quality, yield and safety and managing the correction of areas which are out of acceptable parameters.
Responsible for monitoring standards and indexes needed to control the area of responsibility.
Ensure department compliance with Company policies, laws and regulations which include USDA, SSOP and HACCP programs and all OSHA required safety programs
Administer to ensure that safety orientations and safety meetings are held as required to keep frequency and severity to a minimum.
