Job Description

As a Supply Chain Application Architect in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architect to join our Supply chain solutions team. The BTS Supply chain team focuses on multiple technologies supporting Global supply chain, distribution , logistics and transportation, product traceability. It serves as a hub of expertise, best practices, and innovation
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Spearheading the strategic planning and architectural design of the various solutions supporting Supply chain processes.
Reviewing integration designs for compliance with established architectural guidelines and authorizing exemptions for guideline deviations to accommodate project-specific requirements.
Oversee the assessment of the evolving technology landscape such as ERP, API, AI, GenAI, Data science, crafting strategic recommendations for their adoption within AbbVie's BTS ecosystem.
Generating new technological proposals and leading those efforts. Anticipating and critically evaluating technological advances or competitive threats and responding with appropriate new strategies.
Demonstrating deep knowledge of the ERP, Cloud (ex.AWS) platform and utilizes this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.
Understanding and adhering to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Evaluates application system needs across multiple systems and develops corresponding application and logical data architectures and standards.
Provides strategic consultancy support to clients, Senior Application Technical Specialists and other technical architects in all aspects of enabling technologies to meet business needs. Provides expertise on application architecture design or improvement. Considers the performance impact of the architecture.
Performs technical oversight of implementation projects to assure alignment with architecture and technology standards. Collaborates with the hardware, network and database architects in application design and implementation.
Works closely with product vendors ensuring strategic and architectural fit, and ability of product to scale in order to meet AbbVie requirements.
