Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer position to be based in Piscataway, NJ.

This position is expected to begin in May or June 2025.

We take on the most complex challenges and pioneer innovative, iconic solutions that push the limits of what’s possible – the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge, record-breaking sports events, the largest greenfield port development megaproject, life-sustaining and disaster recovery programs, and the tallest tower in the Western Hemisphere.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 

Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an

experienced engineer.

Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, final working drawings and Geotechnical reports under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Performs Geotechnical investigation collecting and describing soil/rock samples in the field.

Creates soil profiles based on data collected during the subsurface investigation program.

Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems including but not limited to foundation, retaining wall and support of excavation design, slope stability and seepage analysis, etc.

Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
