Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on hardware and software designs including the evaluation and implementation of new components and analytical methods
Execute test plans using various analytical instrumentation and sensitive measuring equipment and constructing test fixtures as necessary
Analyze data using sound statistical and engineering principles, summarize results, author quality test reports, and communicate conclusions effectively
Create and maintain design documentation including models, calculations, process flow diagrams, and system/sub-system operations
Effectively communicate the status and schedule of assigned activities to project and department managers
Lead the chemical engineering efforts as part of a cross functional team on new and existing instrumentation by engaging in project scoping efforts, coordinating activities and updates from other project team chemical engineers, and identifying risk mitigation options to achieve project goals
Mentor junior team members by providing training, technical guidance, and subject matter expertise
Provide technical guidance to other departments to support departmental or business initiatives
