Job Description

Adjective & Co. is on the hunt for an experienced, sharp-minded Senior Strategist who has mastered the art of brand and marketing strategy. The ideal candidate eats and breathes demographics, psychographics, consumer insights and looks at things through the lens of the big idea. They think with both sides of their brain, and have a deep understanding of both branding and marketing. They will use their arsenal of skills and experience to continue to push our clients’ brands to the next level.

About You

Strong passion for brand-building and a deep understanding of consumer behavior in the modern media landscape

Exceptional communication and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver results

Deep knowledge and understanding of brand development, brand activation and brand management

A proven executor who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get into the weeds with clients and the team

Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and market research to inform larger branding decisions

Self-organized, self-driven, and have a strong attention to detail

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can adapt to changing priorities

Proven ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results

Ability to play well with others—working both independently and as part of a collaborative group

Client communication and presentation skills are part of your DNA

A strategic thought leader, always seeking the best approach to clearly present ideas, research and data that ignites brand innovation

Love nerdy stuff like research, data, finding trends across all media

The Day-To-Day Expectations:

Examining our clients’ businesses to get to know their brands quickly and understand their objectives

Conducting comprehensive brand audits, competitive and industry analysis

Gathering brand assets, information, and primary and secondary research to organize, distill, and analyze

Performing in-depth analysis of internal and external communications and various marketing assets

Establishing cohesive, coherent strategies and plans to support our growing portfolio of brands

Creating brand strategy reports/presentations, in collaboration with members of the account and creative teams

Writing brand strategy, identity and campaign creative briefs that inspire great creative work

Working closely with our leadership team to receive feedback and create improvements to strategy process 

Creating test-and-learn plans to improve and evolve execution of digital, social and CRM work 

Producing cohesive and intelligent annual plans with the flexibility to shift quickly in order to achieve results

Creating and leading customer journey mapping, encompassing all tactics and touchpoints

Developing and evolving CRM strategies for various clients and target audiences

Providing thought leadership to internal and external teams on the latest trends based on consumer research, insights, analytics, and strategic planning

Creating presentation decks in various platforms/formats (Keynote, Figma, etc.)

Defining and refining the brand's unique value proposition, ensuring it resonates with the target audience and distinguishes the brand from competitors

Monitoring and tracking brand health metrics to prove brand value building and ROI

Establishing and tracking KPIs/success metrics to make data-backed decisions

Supporting integrated marketing/communication campaigns that effectively communicate the brand's message and drive brand awareness, customer loyalty, engagement and award-winning creative work
