Job Summary:
The Gift Shop Supervisor provides oversight of the Gift Shop. The incumbent may also help sell gift shop merchandise to customers. Unpacks verifies and inspects received goods rejecting damaged items or incorrect orders. Maintains records of items received. Prepares goods for display or sale and sorts and distributes items to the appropriate department.
Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Supervisory experience desired.
For better future prospects a certification course in sales and marketing or business management is preferred
Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills.
Customer service skills. Interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn about the goods in the store so as to explain to the customer
Excellent communication and customer service ethics
Communicating solutions successes and opportunities to leadership.
Energizes and motivates a team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle exchange of goods
When the sale is made accept payments and hand over the receipt to the customer
Arranging demonstrations of goods
Helping the customers choose goods
Place price tags on the goods and arrange the goods in an attractive manner
Ability to perceive the needs of the customer and show them appropriate merchandise
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
Responds and takes actions to customer concerns and complaints.
