Overview:

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

The Sr Analyst, Underwriter II supports the Real Estate Finance (REF) team through underwriting, analysis, and structuring recommendations for REF portfolios. Identifies, gathers, and reviews financial information to determine borrower risk ratings and appropriate loan structuring. Assesses and communicates risks within new and existing REF accounts. Provides service and support for both associates and clients, assisting in customer calls.

Responsibilities:

Underwrite commercial real estate loans including bridge, transitional and construction for multi-family, office, retail, industrial, and hotel properties.

Collect, organize and interpret relevant market data.

Review property and sponsor information – rent rolls, operating statements, balance sheets.

Identify key transaction issues, risks and mitigants to those risks.

Contribute to credit approval memos and submit for approval.

Participate in meetings with Credit.

Coordinate due diligence information collection.

Participate and manage the transaction process among key stakeholders.

Write and prepare term sheets; assist with legal documentation.

Participate in the management of loans post origination, including risk ratings and classification.

Monitor compliance with loan terms and performance of existing portfolio of loans.

Prepare quarterly and annual reviews where necessary

Work independently and collaboratively.

Think critically.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month analysis. OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month analysis.

Preferred:

1 year Real Estate or financial services experience

Facility with Word, Power Point, Excel, Argus, Moody’s CMM

Banking experience a plus

Formal credit training
