Role Summary:
An Equipment Operator is responsible for fulfilling warehouse orders using warehousing equipment such as powered industrial trucks (PIT) like forklifts, order pickers, or pallet drivers. They may also need to support their team on the warehouse floor, working together to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently. Equipment Operators are enthusiastic team players who possess excellent organizational and communication skills, always maintaining a positive attitude.
Shift: Tuesday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pm
Role Responsibilities:
Prioritize safety and compliance standards while performing job duties and operating warehousing equipment.
Able to respectfully work in a team environment, in addition to working independently.
Function well in a multi-task environment; comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.
Able to operate department-specific technology to execute job tasks i.e. RF scanners or desktop computers and touchscreens to efficiently track the location of products.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
All other responsibilities as assigned by operational leadership.
Role Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
High school degree or GED a plus
Warehousing or manufacturing experience a plus
Forklift or heavy machinery experience a plus
Able to operate department-specific technology to execute job tasks i.e. RF scanners or desktop computers and touchscreens
Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand and walk for considerable distance throughout a shift
Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights to 50 pounds
Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker) which requires coordinated movements
