Overview:
Join ENERCON's Advanced Nuclear Services Group as a Project Engineer, where growth opportunities abound. Your role will involve developing winning engineering proposals with technical staff, executing projects within budget and schedule constraints, and maintaining robust client relationships. With your proven management skills, you'll oversee project schedules, financials, and reporting while actively supporting marketing endeavors to propel business growth. If you have 5 years of nuclear work as an engineer or a project manager and are ready to drive success, this role is for you. This role can sit out of any of our nuclear office locations.
Responsibilities:
Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects and serve as a technical leader to ensure the project solution and quality goals are met
Work with technical staff to develop winning, highly technical, engineering proposals
Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to established schedule and within budget
Understand project schedules, project management plans, and manage project staff to ensure project requirements are met
Formulate/develop detailed project reports
Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performance
Foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients and act as a single point of contact for assigned projects
Manage client interactions and negotiate / control project scope to client and company's satisfaction
Aggressively support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation, and follow-up
Qualifications:
Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process, calculations, specifications, etc. in power facilities
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the nuclear or power industries as an Engineer or Project Manager
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or a related field) OR PMP Certification and 8 years' applicable experience
Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes
Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites
Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks
