Overview:
Provides administrative professional support to the Assoc VP Patient Svcs and VP & Hospital Chief of Staff. Work performed requires a variety of clerical and organizational skills and an extensive working knowledge of the system, the community hospitals, the hospital, the executive offices, and the departments reporting to the AVP/COS. Independent judgment and problem solving techniques are used to manage tasks, including planning, initiating and implementing administrative activities as assigned. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in relaying communication with the health systems executive team, health center personnel, and a close working relationship with the health systems vice president, community hospital administrators, faculty group practice personnel, hospital vice president, and the hospital directors. Manages confidential and sensitive issues across varied lines of interaction (HealthCare System, Community Hospitals, Hospital, Health Center executives, physicians, co-workers and patients).
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements::
High school education or equivalent. Eight years progressively responsible advanced secretarial and administrative experience with independent project task management. Experience must include independent use of personal computer applications including word processing, databases, spreadsheets such as Excel, Access, etc. Excellent written and oral communications skills are required. Associates degree can be substituted for experience. Technical training or additional experience is required to substantiate required database management skills.
