Responsibilities:
Responsiblities of Psychiatrist:
Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
Conduct rounds in all units
Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
Coordinate, lead and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care
Qualifications:
Qualifications of Psychiatrist:
Must hold a current, unrestricted Psychiatrist license in CA
Current DEA registration
A valid CPR card
Board certification
Eligible or qualified by the state laws/regulations to practice psychiatry
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in primary care specialty of psychiatrist with administrative experience
Must possess strong written communication and verbal skills
Must have strong computer skills
