Overview:

The Systems Engineer position within the Implementation and Onboarding team is responsible for specification consultation, configuration, and testing of Blackhawk Network payment processing services for internal customers and external Blackhawk Network partners. This includes but not limited to: interaction with internal and external clients to support specification integration, troubleshooting and resolving integration issues, and working directly with other integration engineers, systems engineers, project / implementation managers, and QA engineers as required by the project requirements.

Responsibilities:

Maintain knowledge of Blackhawk Network specifications for transaction processing.

Communicate with Blackhawk Network clients through their BHN Onboarding:Consultation of Blackhawk Network Specification.

Technical information exchange (log snippets, specifications) to assist with development and troubleshooting activities.

Guidance on best practices to ensure clients implement Blackhawk’s payment solutions using optimal integration strategies and techniques to promote a high degree of quality.

End to End testing of processing system using simulation tools.

Work with/in Linux environments to perform application and client specific configuration updates, perform testing with clients, and capture logs and test results.

Leverage SQL skills to perform Ad Hoc reporting requests to support requests from various implementation teams, business related inquires, and other related activities.

Identify opportunities to automate manual and repeatable tasks, and platform enhancements that would increase the usability, stability, and speed, with which new clients can integrate.

Work with internal teams on GIT check in of configurations for clients.

Support and management of client certificates.

Qualifications:

1-year experience with at least one of the following technologies: Web Services, REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, ISO8583.

Experience creating and executing SQL queries (MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, etc.).

Experience with GIT or other version control systems.

Experience working in Linux or other Unix like environments.

90% English Level – able to present technical information, status, and issues in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical parties.

Strong ability in the following items: Troubleshooting, Time management, creative problem solving, self-motivation and Project ownership.

Technical degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
