The Opportunity:

RS&H is currently seeking a MI-4 Program Controls Deputy Lead / Senior Project Management Engineer. As part of the Moving I-4 Forward team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by conforming large, complex, high-profile and high-risk projects to the client's requirements. This position will lead and facilitate the determination of the needs and expectations of the client and provide oversight throughout the project to ensure delivery of a high-quality product that maintains client satisfaction and helps secure future business; direct and oversee the development of a detailed scope of work, budget, and schedule; provide ongoing communication to the project team, ensuring objectives are clear; oversee the management of the project through all phases to achieve the desired results within the established budget and schedule; negotiate contracts and contract amendments with the client; recommend alternative solutions if project objectives cannot be achieved and contractual obligations cannot be met; serve as the primary point of contact for the client and ensure regular status updates are provided; provide leadership and oversight to the project team to ensure clear technical direction and coordination throughout the project; serve as a resource and mentor for technical and project management professionals, providing guidance and helping them grow; serve as the primary owner for project quality planning and quality control; oversee and ensure an exceptional client experience to support marketing efforts to secure repeat business from existing clients and work from new clients; proactively identify and recommends new business and client and market opportunities; build and foster client relationships to support our growth efforts; and seek opportunities proactively to enhance the production and delivery process and lead efforts, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to affect improvements. This position may also manage a small team of direct reports.

To be successful in this role, you must:

Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited program and 20 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Interior Designer, and/or Licensed General Contractor is preferred.  

Have a passion for project management. PMP certification is preferred.

Be proficient with Microsoft Office. 

Possess strong attention to detail, commitment to follow through, and ability to work independently following general direction and oversight from leadership.

Be able to multi-task, prioritize workload, set priorities, and manage multiple projects and assignments.

Have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and understand people in a courteous and professional manner.

Possess the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, demonstrate professional courage, and guide and influence others.
