DL1 Area - Special Needs Teaching Assistant

3 days a week, long term post

Vision for Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role involves working across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), supporting a variety of children with specific SEN needs in a welcoming, inclusive school.

This role is available on a part-time basis, for 3 days per week, starting in November 2024, with the potential to become a long-term placement due to ongoing staff sickness.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working in an SEN role, particularly with KS1 and KS2 children.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
A compassionate and adaptable approach to working with children with diverse needs.
Ability to support and engage small groups and individuals in their learning and development.
A team player who works well alongside other staff to create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing tailored support to children with SEN in both individual and group settings.
Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning and classroom management.
Helping children achieve their learning goals and overcome educational challenges.
Working collaboratively with a supportive team in a highly rewarding role.
