Deputy Manager – Swansea– Full time – 39 hours a week - £15.25 per hour

Beach Tree Farm is set in an acre of land in Llangfellach, close to Swansea City Centre, with access to the Gower coast and easily accessible to the M4 and routes east and west.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to work in our home ‘Beech Tree Farm’ based in Swansea. As a Deputy Manager, you will be supporting Home, helping with leading the care teams and supporting them to deliver highest standards across the company.
A day in the life of a Deputy Manager with Priority childcare Involves:

Supporting the Home Manager to achieve compliance, with the regulatory framework, organisational objectives, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Deputising in the manager’s absence and be a creative and innovative leader that supports the homes to be a specialist excellent service.
Participating in the Companies “Out of hours” service.
Supporting the staff teams with the transition of residents in and out of the homes.
Helping to co-ordinate the homes recruitment process and lead interviews for new staff.
Acting as a mentor to new staff and co-ordinate their induction into the homes.
Supporting the supervision of all staff and report on compliance.To be a successful Dual Deputy Manager with Priority Childcare, you’ll need:

Completed or working towards A QCF Level 4/5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
A good understanding of the Positive behaviour support framework and the active support model as this underpins the way in which Orbis Educations & Care supports all the individual’s living in the homes.
Experience of direct support experience with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
Experience of leading a team of staff who support people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
Ability to work independently, meet targets and supervising staff.
Awareness of new developments / standards / best practice in the sector. Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
