Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Credit Control Manager to join our clients team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s credit risk, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining a healthy cash flow. This position requires a proactive, analytical individual with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities for the Credit Control Manager:
Oversee and manage the credit control department, ensuring efficient processes and timely collections.
Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize financial risk and bad debts.
Perform credit assessments and risk analysis for new and existing clients.
Monitor aged debt and take appropriate action to recover overdue payments.
Maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth payment processes and resolve payment disputes.
Provide regular reports to senior management on debtor balances, cash flow projections, and collection performance.
Lead and mentor a team of credit controllers, setting performance targets and supporting their development.
Work closely with the finance department to reconcile accounts and support month-end closing.
Key Requirements for the Credit Control Manager:
Proven experience as a Credit Control Manager or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of credit management and financial reconciliation processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Experience in managing and mentoring teams.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
Ability to analyse financial data and develop effective credit strategies.
A relevant qualification (ACICM or similar) is desirable but not mandatory.
