Job Title: Qualified Teaching Assistant
Location: Chester
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Simply Education is delighted to be working with a fantastic SEND school in Chester that is seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated, and flexible teaching assistant to join their team. Due to the recent expansion of the school, several positions are available for Teaching Assistants across different age groups (2-19 years).

The school provides a nurturing environment for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students who require tailored support to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
Provide support to pupils with SEN, ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment.
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions.
Collaborate with other staff members to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Support students during classroom activities, outdoor play, and educational outings.
Assist with personal care, where necessary, for pupils with complex needs.

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly those with ASC and profound learning difficulties, is preferred but not essential.
A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.
