Our expertise as a multi-disciplinary engineering partner across infrastructure, process and digital services has led to long term partnerships with leading organisations in everything from food and drink and utilities to high-security industries such as defence, aerospace and nuclear.
We are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join our team within the Musk Process Services division based at our client’s site in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance within the sites various buildings.
Attending breakdowns
Overhauls on machinery
Remedial corrective actions
Working to improve plant reliability.
Skills and Experience
Practical skills for repairing and maintaining equipment.
The ability to work well with your hands.
Problem-solving skills.
The ability to work on your own.
The ability to make decisions about tools and equipment.
To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
The ability to work well with others.
Specific Qualifications
Mechanical Qualifications (C&G, BTEC, NVQ)
Have experience working in an industrial environment preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Experience of working and maintaining with a wide variety of process machinery including Screw Conveyors, Belt Conveyors, Bearings and Couplings, Alignment, Pumps, Gearboxes, Chain drives
