JKS Restaurants are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be friendly, personable and passionate about all things food and drink. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant looking for a new role in an award-winning, critically acclaimed group.

The Position
The Accounts Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our growing restaurant group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, and assisting with various accounting tasks to support the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their accounting skills within a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Reconciliations: Daily reconciliation of sales from multiple brands, maintaining accuracy, raising queries with site managers and ensuring nominal code postings are in line with receipts received.
Raising of Accounts Receivable invoices: Ensure the invoices are raised in a timely manner, ensure payment is received within the agreed timeframes and recorded correctly.
Accounts Payable Invoice Processing: Managing the end-to-end process of invoice verification, coding, and posting into the accounting system.
Supplier Statement Reconciliations: Regular reconciliation of supplier accounts, ensuring all invoices and payments are accurately recorded.
Payment Runs: Preparing regular payment runs, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, liaising with the relevant teams to notify them of payment dates and amounts.
Bank Reconciliations: Assisting with weekly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accounted for correctly.
Support Month-End Procedures: Assisting with month-end financial reporting, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
Liaison with Restaurant Teams: Working closely with the restaurant managers and operations team to resolve queries and provide financial support.
Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of 12 months of previous experience in an accounts or finance role (experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry would be advantageous).
AAT qualification or working towards (or equivalent experience) desirable.
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Sage, Adaco and Fourth FnB.
Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, including written and telephone
A proactive approach to problem-solving.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
