TXM are looking for an experienced Production Administrator to support the Test Department for Hitachi in Newton Aycliffe.

37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday start time between 7am and 9am finish time between 3pm and 5pm

£15.64 per hour Umbrella rate or £11.90 per hour PAYE

Key activities and responsibilities include:

Logging, checking and scanning of paperwork. Coordinate with Test teams to obtain further information, signatures or data corrections to enable documents to be fully completed
Raising purchase orders and completed Good receipts for the Test & Commissioning Department
Raising faults and defects in the SAP system and closing out with evidence
Attending meetings and taking typed notes, sending out meeting minutes and action lists, following up progress with the required action owners
Issuing team briefs, tool box talks and coordinating signature capture and evidence of full department sign off
Overseeing key departmental notice boards and ensuring info is relevant and up to date
Maintaining the car history book and keeping this up to date in line with train progress and delivery schedules
Where required, prepare presentation packs for the Test & Commissioning Management team
Maintaining departmental files and electronic records and carry out any other ad hoc filing as required in accordance with business processes and procedures
Co-ordinating, ordering and issuing new starter kits for new Test & Commissioning employees – liaise with reception to arrange ordering of bump caps, safety glasses and safety shoes, issuing of lockers, clothes, padlocks, tags etc and renewal of these items for existing employees as required
Monitoring and reporting on usage of consumables from the vending machine in test
Upkeep of the key electronic drives for test – removal of obsolete files and general organisation of files and set up of password protection/controlled access where required
Carrying out safety inspections of the office area in accordance with laid down process -ownership of the office zone as part of the health and safety inspection regime for test
Booking rooms, preparing paperwork for key meetings and/or training sessions
Ordering, control and issue of Test stationary, printer and kitchen equipment
Ensure consistency of approach in administration documents, templates and procedures across the business
Collating weekly and monthly KPI reporting data
Collate data from all tests performed and produce trend analysis reporting
Producing reports and metrics from the business Data Management IT System
Inputting competence uplift, defects inputs and correction of hours into SAP
Assistance with travel booking for Test employees
Processing Engineering change requests
Arranging inductions for both internal and external stakeholders
All other administration duties as required
