We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing business in Preston, for an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent night shift basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse range of machinery, from modern cutting-edge equipment to older, more traditional machines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform a mix of reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of machinery and equipment.

* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to ensure minimal downtime and optimal machine performance.

* Work closely with other departments to enhance operational efficiency.

* Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives and processes across the maintenance team.

Working Hours:

* Permanent night shift, 48 hours per week.

* Monday to Thursday: 4 x 12-hour shifts, 7pm – 7am.

Salary & Benefits:

* Competitive salary of £35,000 plus night shift premium.

* Additional benefits package.

Requirements:

* Strong electrical bias with experience in both reactive and planned maintenance.

* Expertise in maintaining a wide range of electrical and mechanical machinery.

* Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards.

* Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering are desirable.
