We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable cover supervisor/ cover supervisor manager to join our pool of educators in Peterborough. As a cover supervisor, you will be responsible for stepping into classrooms across a range of subjects and year groups in a secondary school, ensuring that students continue to receive high-quality education during the absence of their regular teacher. For the cover supervisor manager role, from the times of 7-8:30 before you begin covering classes, you will be required to manage the admin for other cover supervisors coming into the school. This means you will receive a higher pay than a standard cover supervisor role also.

7:00-8:30am coordinator role
8:30-3:20 cover supervisor role
Cover Supervisor:
8:30-3:20 cover supervsior role
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and effectively manage classroom activities.
* Be in contact in the morning with recruitment companies and cover supervisors coming into the school.
* Maintain continuity of learning by following school policies and procedures.
* Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
* Provide feedback on student progress to the regular classroom teacher or relevant staff.
* Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners where necessary.
* Uphold high standards of behaviour management in line with school policies.
* Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and school leadership teams.
Requirements:
* Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and key stages.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and positive approach to covering a wide range of subjects and year groups.
* A current DBS check, or willingness to undertake one.
Desirable:
* Experience teaching in different schools and settings.
* A specialism in a particular subject or Key Stage is an advantage but not essential.
