Contract/Project
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures specific to the site.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with UK Health and Safety regulations and CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
* Manage and coordinate health and safety activities across various contractors, ensuring all are aligned with Mecalux and client expectations.
* Deliver safety inductions, tool box talks, and ongoing training to site personnel.
* Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
* Liaise with the principal contractor, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and effective health and safety management.
* Ensure proper documentation of risk assessments, method statements, and other safety-related documents.
* Implement emergency procedures and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with working at height regulations and other high-risk activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* NEBOSH Certificate in Construction UK (or equivalent).
* Valid CSCS card.
* Extensive knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations, CDM regulations, and industry best practices.
* Proven experience in managing health and safety on construction sites, particularly in high-risk environments.
* Experience in installation of automated warehouse systems, including cranes and conveyors, is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
