Job Title: Surgical Solutions Technician
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Positions Available:
1 Technician (Daytime shifts)
1 Overnight Technician (Must be available M-F 7p-7a)
Pay:
Starting at $19.80 per hour with the potential to increase to $21.00 per hour after 120 days, contingent upon manager evaluation and attainment of CRCST certification.
Potential for higher starting rate based on experience.
Role Overview:
Join our team in Grand Rapids, MI, as a Sterile Processing Technician, where you will play a critical role in supporting surgical operations and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as an integral part of the OR/SPD team, excelling in the preparation and execution of surgical procedures.
Uphold stringent sterile practices to ensure patient safety and efficient procedural flow.
Manage and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are ready for operations.
Collaborate effectively with hospital staff and team members to deliver exceptional support and service.
Take responsibility for the cleaning, disinfection, and proper maintenance of surgical instruments.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required; additional technical training or education is preferred.
CRCST certification not required at hire but must be obtained within 120 days of employment.
Proven ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital to ensure rapid on-call availability.
Availability for varied shifts and rotational weekend call shifts is essential.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Additional Requirements for Overnight Technician:
Must be available for overnight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Friday. Post-completion of assigned tasks, the technician will be "on-call" until 7 AM.
Availability during daytime hours for approximately 2 months for training.
