Role Overview:

Create custom-made items, from concept through to final production.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Design Bespoke Products: Create unique and tailored product designs based on client specifications, including packaging, promotional materials, and custom-manufactured items.

· Designing products using 3D modelling.

· Collaborate with Clients and Teams: Work closely with clients, account managers, and production teams to understand design briefs and ensure that all design requirements are met.

· Concept Development: Generate ideas and visual concepts for bespoke products that align with the company’s standards and the client’s vision.

· Technical Design: Prepare detailed artwork and specifications for manufacturing, including working with die-lines, templates, and production-ready files.

· Material & Process Integration: Liaise with the manufacturing team to ensure that the designs are feasible for production, taking into account materials, production methods, and timelines.

· Quality Control: Oversee prototypes and samples to ensure the final product matches the design intent, making necessary adjustments to achieve high-quality outcomes.

· Software Utilization: Use industry-standard graphic design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) to produce designs and technical drawings.

· Stay Updated with Trends: Keep up with the latest trends in graphic design and product manufacturing to introduce fresh ideas and innovations into the company’s offerings.

· Multitasking and Deadlines: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

· Understanding the cost impact of drawing changes, seeing the final product once completed. Bringing clients ideas to fruition as a working piece of furniture

Skills:

* Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.

* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design software.

* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to translate design into physical products.

* Ability to work collaboratively with various departments, including marketing, production, and sales.

* Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.

* Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

* Knowledge of typography, colour theory, and branding principles.

* Problem-solving skills to overcome design and production challenges.

* Understanding of the importance of sustainability and ethical production practices in design.

Preferred:

* Experience or internship in a similar role within a manufacturing or bespoke product design environment.

* Understanding of 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) or familiarity with print production processes.

Personal Attributes:

* Creative thinking with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.

* Enthusiasm for learning and staying up-to-date with design trends and marketing techniques.

* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and handle constructive feedback.
