Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker (Senior Team Leader)
Location: Bacup
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Approximately 168 hours per month (38.8 hours per week equivalent)

Salary: £13.50 per hour (rising to £14.75 per hour based on experience and qualifications)

Sleep-In Rate: £50 per night

Benefits: Holidays 217.5 hours per year (inclusive of bank holidays), career progression opportunities, NVQ training provided at no cost, and additional benefits.

Role Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team. You will play a key role in managing a team of Residential Support Workers, supporting the care and development of children and young people in our care. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, with the chance to deputise for the Registered Manager and take on leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day care and therapeutic support of young people.

* Lead a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision.

* Act as a Key Worker, ensuring the development and implementation of individual care plans.

* Monitor the quality of care provided and maintain a safe and nurturing environment.

* Deputise for the Registered Manager when necessary.

* Participate in outdoor therapeutic activities and ensure high standards of care are maintained.

Qualifications and Experience:

* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent is essential.

* Previous experience in residential child care is required.

* Knowledge of therapeutic models (e.g., PACE) and relevant legislation is desirable.

* Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Training and Development:

* Ongoing NVQ training and professional development are provided at no cost.

* The post holder will be expected to study for additional qualifications as part of their role.
