Associate Planning Director
Location: York (4 days per week in the office, with flexibility)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (flexible working hours)

Carrington West are pleased to be working with a thriving Planning and Urban Design consultancy based in York with a dynamic team spread across three offices. Their work is diverse, ranging from residential projects to city centre regeneration, schools, and industrial developments. They pride themselves on collaboration across offices, ensuring seamless project delivery and a supportive work environment.

Our client has an established client base that provides a steady stream of work, but we are also looking for someone who can bring their own private sector experience to generate new business and manage client relationships.

As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in their leadership team, working closely with urban designers, planning professionals, and a support teams. You'll be stepping into an Associate Director role so we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

Your responsibilities will include:
·Leading on high-profile projects across the private sector, from land promotion to city centre regeneration.
·Mentoring and developing junior members of staff, offering guidance and support.
·Generating new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with our existing clients.
·Collaborating with architects, planners, and designers across our offices, outsourcing when necessary.
·Driving the long-term development of the business with plenty of opportunity for growth.
Requirements:

·Proven experience in a senior planning role, ideally with private sector experience.
·Planning degree or masters
·MRTPI status
·Demonstrable ability to manage projects and generate new business.
·Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
·Passionate and ambitious, with a desire to grow with the company.
