Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tube Laser Operator to join our team! In addition to performing laser operation, this individual will ensure jobs are set-up to meet MPCD/customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

Understands and follows all applicable safety policies and procedures.

With Manufacturing Supervisor, schedule daily/weekly workload.

Download part program into machine controller.

Ability to perform adjustments of the tube laser to remedy slag, burn through, burrs, and un-desirable conditions.

Utilizes hand instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gage) to perform first piece/blue tag inspections.

Obtains inspection approval for each job.

Works with Engineering to resolve problems and production issues.

Train new Associates on equipment operation, department processes and procedures.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic errors with the operation of the tube laser.

May be required to work/assist Maintenance with issues outside of basic errors/issues.

Ability to successfully load material and record production in Plex.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One year certificate from college or technical school preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

2-3 years related experience or training.

Hours:

2nd Shift: 2:00pm-11:30PM 

Full Time - 40 hours per week

Monday - Friday
