Job Title: GP/Health Screening Doctor
Sessions: 2-8 sessions per week, depending on your preferences
Location: Central Glasgow
Salary: £10,000-£11,000 per session annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), private healthcare insurance, private pension contribution, critical illness cover, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, discounts with major retailers, and more.

About the Client:
We’re excited to partner with one of the world’s leading private healthcare providers. This organisation has invested millions in the latest treatments, technology, techniques, medication, and state-of-the-art facilities. They offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression, and provide working conditions that prioritise your mental and physical wellbeing.

Position Overview:
The role of GP/Health Screener involves providing adult primary care and health screening assessments at a prestigious clinic in Central Glasgow. This practice exclusively serves private patients, with the majority coming from corporate clients seeking comprehensive health checks.

Key Highlights:

* Corporate Health Screens: This role focuses on screening employees from a major corporate client. The practice is modern, vibrant, and caters to a corporate clientele.

* Team Structure: You’ll be part of a supportive team that includes a dedicated Practice Manager, Lead GP, Practice Nurse, and receptionist. There are always two GPs onsite, ensuring a balanced and collaborative work environment.

* Work-Life Balance: No walk-ins, late nights, weekends, on-calls, or home visits. Start times are flexible (8 am or 9 am), with an hour for lunch, offering you a healthy work-life balance.

* Flexible Schedule: The practice offers flexibility with the option to work between 1 to 4 days per week.

* Appointment Structure: Appointment lengths vary between 15, 30, and 60 minutes for GP appointments and up to 90 minutes for in-depth health screenings. This results in fewer patients seen compared to NHS settings.

* Responsibilities: You’ll handle routine procedures such as taking bloods, smear tests, prescribing medication, antenatal checks, vaccinations, and travel advice, as well as ordering further on-site tests or supplementary therapy as needed.

* Health Screening Reports: You'll write your own reports using dictation tools and a robust IT system. While there's a learning curve, much of the reporting becomes routine and efficient.

* Preventative Focus: With about 60% of appointments focused on advanced health screenings, this role is ideal for GPs passionate about preventative medicine, coaching, and lifestyle interventions aimed at reducing long-term health risks.

* Protected Admin Time: Each session includes 30 minutes of protected admin time, ensuring you have time to focus on patient care and documentation.

About You:

* GMC registered (you don’t need to be on the performers list).

* You have a strong interest in lifestyle and preventative medicine.

* Excellent communication skills, effective time management, a forward-thinking approach, and a good working knowledge of IT systems.
