Responsibilities:

The Lead Martial Arts Facilitator facilitates programming that provides healing through body-based and experiential modalities that emphasize health by creating essential connections between the mind, body, and emotions.

Essential Duties:

Facilitate martial arts and experiential modalities for nature-based training that relates to the physical/philosophical teachings of authentic martial arts for designated facility for groups as assigned.

Facilitate individual sessions per the staging system.

Complete documentation timely and according to established standards.

Provide residential milieu support to direct care and clinical staff in crisis.

Receive regular weekly supervision/curriculum guidance from Director, Martial Arts Therapy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field required. Master’s degree preferred.

Licensed in counseling, psychology, or social work in the state in which you are applying preferred.

First degree black belt or equivalent in a non-belted martial art required.

Experience working with young adults/adolescents in a behavioral health setting required.
