Overview:
Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Senior Supply Analyst to join our team to support Pearl Harbor Navy Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF) Code 500’s efforts to establish a detachment in Guam to support operations. This individual will support Code 500 directly to help establish a detailed strategy and implementation plan to ensure the Guam detachment can provide proper material management services to the warfighter. This individual will be an independent problem solver who can collaborate well with the government team.
Responsibilities:
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
Assist Code 500 in developing and drafting recommended supply strategies, policies, and procedures to stand up PHNSY&IMF Det Guam
Review material management facility and space requirements in Guam and provide feedback for improvements
Perform research on a variety of topics associated with material management in Guam
Draft technical instructions, standard operating procedures, memorandums, desk guides, process maps, etc.
Assist with codifying processes and transfer of Tribal Knowledge; define best practices
Evaluate and develop training curriculum, materials, and instruction on material management
Help resolve difficult material issues through coordination with stakeholders; develop measurements and metrics
Assist in the development of project plans
Monitor progress toward meeting the plan and identifies the cause and impact of delays; adjust plans and schedules accordingly
Keep Nakupuna Leadership abreast of project execution
Qualifications:
Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate possesses experience in Navy supply/material management operations in a public Shipyard environment. Must be self-motivated, have strong attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a dynamic environment while remaining flexible to the client’s requirements is a must. Must have strong organization skills.
Education: BS or BA degree in Business Management or related degree is preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: This position requires at least 10 years of related experience with supply operations, preferably within a public shipyard.
Location: Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Hawaii with ability to travel to Guam 2-3 times per year for 1 week.
Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to use stairs without assistance
Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers
Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations
Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
