What You'll Do:

The Principal Financial Group is seeking a Regional Vice President Retirement Relationship Manager in our TPA Customer Care area. As the Regional VP, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of relationship managers in our retirement division who focus on advisors, unbundled plan sponsors, and third-party administrators operating within our 10M-200M market segment. This individual also has responsibility for the overall revenue retention and growth and management of client and advisor relationships in the region.  

In addition, you'll:

Supervise RMs to ensure assigned TPAs, clients and advisors have a strategic plan which helps them meet their plan objectives by providing consultation, and solution-based recommendations within the client’s customer care model which will drive profitable growth and retention.

Responsible for regions hiring and training, performance management, coaching and mentoring and budgeting/financial management.

In person and virtual job shadowing.  Attend client and advisor meetings.

Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 8+ years related work experience; retirement industry experience & product knowledge required.

Client relationship management experience

Must be able to lead and handle off-site employees effectively

FINRA Series 6, 63, and 26 License(s) or ability to acquire SIE, 6 and 63 within 5 months; and 26 within 9 months of hire required. Must meet firm standards for registration within applicable jurisdictions

Business unit and company product knowledge required

Excellent leadership, communication, planning, decision-making, and proven relationship leadership skills required

Must have good financial leadership skills and basic computer knowledge

Travel required, up to 50% including overnight stays

Salary Range Information:

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range:

Time Off Program:

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
