Responsibilities:
IDEMIA, the global leader in ID & Payment Card manufacturing located in Exton, PA, is looking to add an In-Process Quality Inspector on our 3rd shift to inspect and uphold the highest quality of our product throughout various stages of the manufacturing process for our Metal Card product line
Position Overview: Perform part inspections and audits of the process and products in order to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Hours: 11:00pm - 7:30am
Role and Responsibilities
To maintain proper safety standards according to established policies and procedures including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed in the production area
Actively participate and sustain all 5S activities and routine
Perform in-process quality audit activities within the production area (Printing & Payment/ID & Metal) as assigned based on the business need
Keep a running list of all non-conforming material and ensure the product gets sorted/reworked/scrapped timely so as to not cause late deliveries to our customer
Conduct Final Product audits for positive release of all products after re-work
Confer with production personnel and supervisors to resolve non-conformances and report unresolved problems to management via PNF (NCR) database system
Input PNF in the database system and management of all PNFs (NCRs)
Aide in root cause analysis and assign action party responsible for corrective action implementation following internal QRCI procedure
Assist in performing investigations of significant quality issues to identify specific responsibility and cause. Work with department managers to analyze complex inspection problems and recommend correction actions as part of the QRCI team
Compile, tabulate, and summarize test and inspection data for analysis. Record inspection data in company databases
Act as a link to other shifts by communicating with QA/other department personnel and supervisors on the shifts before and after
Assist with the development and maintenance of department procedures and work instructions
Assist in training personnel and ensure that employees received updated training in work instructions and procedures
Support and understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001, VISA/MC/PCI, customer, and any other specifications and requirements
Assist fellow employees solve problems
Be the backup for the other QA Inspectors as needed
Assist the supervisor to maintain workflow in the department and to coordinate department functions with the production schedule
Must follow procedures and guidelines as defined by the Employee Handbook
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or 1 year related experience and/or training in manufacturing quality or equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced computer skills to include MS Office products
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform well in pressure situations
Strong organization skills
Excellent personal time management and group time management required
Must be extremely detail-oriented and accept ownership for projects
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
